Full-Depth Paving
Pavement damage may sink deep into its structure, affecting its foundation. Full-depth paving improves the overall integrity of the pavement to prevent future damage. It goes beyond what’s possible with simple patch repair. Full-depth paving is often the most cost-effective solution since it provides long-lasting strength by addressing the foundation.
Asphalt Milling
Asphalt milling involves removing part of the existing pavement to create a uniform surface. It enables our team to repair or replace the top layer of your pavement surface without replacing the entire structure. The pieces left after the project, called millings, can be recycled when mixing the materials for resurfacing. Depending on the extent of the project, asphalt milling might involve removing only a portion of the top layer to provide a smooth surface or something closer to full-depth paving.
Asphalt Overlay and Resurfacing
If your pavement displays only minor issues such as cracks or rifts, asphalt overlay will likely suffice. Most overlays measure between one to two inches deep but may extend further depending on the condition of your pavement. This project won’t require milling, but some steps might be necessary before the overlay, such as smoothing over cracks or filling the start of potholes.
Asphalt resurfacing involves replacing the top layer to provide a new surface. It begins with milling the damaged surface before filling in the area with new asphalt. Asphalt resurfacing is common for residential driveways but can benefit commercial spaces.
Asphalt Patch Repairs
Unlike paving, asphalt patching focuses on only those areas affected by damage. It will repair the top two inches of an existing asphalt surface by providing new asphalt, typically through tack coating or grinding. Our team may recommend asphalt patch repair for an area with small cracks or a pothole.
